Christian Jankowski, born in 1968 in Göttingen, Germany, is a conceptual artist whose practice encompasses video, photography, performance, and installation. A hallmark of Jankowski’s work is his engagement with mass media and popular culture. He frequently collaborates with professionals from diverse fields, such as television, music, and commerce, to create artworks that blur the boundaries between art and everyday life. This approach challenges conventional perceptions of art and its role in society. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at venues such as the MIT List Visual Arts Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart in Germany. In 2016, Jankowski curated the 11th edition of Manifesta in Zürich.
