Marianne Vitale

Through acts of destruction and reconstruction, Marianne Vitale challenges the mythology of modernism and Western civilization. Her work draws on the remnants of American industrial growth—such as bridges, train tracks, factories, and dams—creating powerful symbols of the disintegration of Western society.

Marianne Vitale lives and works in New York. She participated in The Milk of Dreams, the Venice Biennial in 2022.
